The devices that need rigid circuit boards can make use of the printed circuit boards and those that need a degree of flexibility even for the circuit board can use the flexible circuit boards.The printed circuit boards have a base material called a substrate, which is a non-conductor, upon which there is a conductor of pure copper that forms another layer. This copper layer is etched out so that the unused copper is eliminated and the rest forms the circuit. Laser or tungsten carbide drill is used to make holes in these layers, called â€˜viasâ€™ which are used to mount the components in the <a href="http://www.pcb-solutions.com">printed circuit boards</a>. The base material called the substrate gives the support for the components of the printed circuit board. The base materials dielectric property is of importance to make the printed circuit board reliable. The conductive layer of the printed circuit board is used to connect the different components in the printed circuit board so that the electrical connection is made between them.The same method goes with the flexible circuit boards with one difference in it. The substrate of the flexible circuit board is flexible as it is of polyimide or PEEK film. Apart from this the same process is used in its creation. The flexible circuit boards find their use where a certain degree of flexibility is needed in the electronic device.</p>
